Autism-Informed Foster Care

Understanding the child before trying to change the behavior.
At Kidz Thrive, we have expanded our foster care mission to include specialized, autism-informed care. We believe that for neurodivergent children who have experienced trauma, healing begins with an environment that respects their unique way of experiencing the world.
Our approach focuses on the individual needs of every child, prioritizing:
- Sensory Sensitivities: Creating home environments that feel safe and regulated.
- Communication Differences: Finding the “voice” behind every behavior.
- Emotional Regulation: Tools to help children manage big feelings in healthy ways.
- Individualized Support Plans: We work side-by-side with you to ensure your home is a place where a child can truly thrive.
You do not need prior autism experience to foster with us.
